The "NanoToolBox" contains test descriptions and materials for ten experiments whose principle of operation is based on nano coatings or nanoparticles. Some experiments are suitable as demonstration experiments, others can be integrated under the guidance of the teacher without elaborate preparations as "learning-by-doing" experiments in the classroom.
First of all, the detailed experiment instructions begin with quite simple attempts at lotus effect, for which no special materials are needed. On different papers and sheets one should learn to understand the beading effect. For the further experiments then the special materials of the case are necessary. The use of nanoparticles in the use of functional surfaces (for example easy-to-clean, hydrophobicity, hydrophilicity) but also as a catalyst in reactions such as e.g. the photocatalysis or self-assembly of a solar cell explained.
Due to the broad interdisciplinary nature of the experiments, they can be used in biology, chemistry or physics lessons. With the NanoToolBox an important step can be taken to arouse the interest in the nanotechnologies, which will determine our life in the future indispensably decisively.
nanoproofed® competitor tests:
Among other things, nanoproofed® tests its in-house product developments on behalf of competitors. Thus, we are always informed about quality differences. In these tests, we are increasingly finding that there are serious differences in quality and the quality of our product is confirmed again and again.
For this test, the products are subjected to in-house developed test procedures to demonstrate characteristic differences in terms of abrasion, efficiency, efficiency and special property assurances mainly in the application framework. The basis for this is the self-developed test methods.
Metrological or certified analysis results are carried out in cooperation with the universities, with the universities of applied science, with the TÜV Thuringia, the institutes Fresenius and the institute Max Plack.
nanoproofed® cooperates with universities of applied sciences, including the state of Schleswig-Holstein. In cooperation with the universities of applied sciences feasibilities are researched and documented in nanoproofed® studies. The results are e.g. used for developments of new materials. Thus, we can also respond to special customer requests.
In cooperation with the "University of Applied Sciences Lübeck - University of Applied Science" various research projects and presentations will be carried out
nanoproofed® works together with the universities of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg as well as the Saarland, North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin.
In collaboration with the universities, basic research on surface refinement is conducted, feasibilities are researched and documented in public and nanoproofed® studies.
Also, presentations and trade fairs are prepared and carried out for many users. This not only in Germany but worldwide. At many trade fairs and public relations nanoproofed® provides advice and support to various universities with many years of experience in the application and processing sector.
In cooperation with the "Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel" various research projects are carried out. Also in cooperation with the "Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin" various research projects are carried out. As part of a project, we look at Innovations in high technologies under the aspect of the development and handling of conflicts.

The brochure "39 GOOD CONNECTIONS", commissioned by the "Ministry of Science, Economics and Transport of Schleswig-Holstein", presents R & D cooperations from the programs "HWT" and "Transfer Projects" from 2004-2007. nanoproofed® also works closely with the affiliated institutions and is described in this brochure.
- Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
At the workshop of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) and the Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) on the "Assessment of synthetic nanoparticles in the work and environmental sectors" on 11 and 12 October 2005 in Bonn, the authorities and industry saw an informational need for the production and use of nanomaterials in the workplace. BAuA and VCI have therefore agreed to collectively collect this information through a questionnaire. The aim of the campaign is to improve the data situation in activities dealing with synthetic nanomaterials. As a result, focal areas can be identified, processed in a more targeted manner and effective protective measures recommended.

Study shows potential in safety-related applications A study by VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH, commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, analyzes the potential of nanotechnological materials and processes in safety-related applications. In times of growing economic damage from piracy or organized cybercrime, as well as other threat scenarios, security is increasingly understood as an important location and competitive factor. According to experts, the market for safety-related products and services holds great potential for the use of innovative products and solutions based on nanomaterials or nanostructuring processes.
nanoproofed® works with various networks, i.a. the chemical industry together. Here, the cooperation with the nationwide nanotechnology networks and competence centers should be particularly emphasized. The company nanoproofed® was available for joint events with presentations and information on surface refinement with nanotechnology.
